Bandana was great and concise on the other hand, but when you cycle through Pinata and Cold Day in Hell, Bandana leaves you kinda wanting a bit more somehow. If you take that into consideration and tolerate the closing out track (Lambo was trying to subvert our expectations of what a closing track should be), then you've got an almost perfect hype record IMO. He always has a track where he's fucking around straight up. ![]() If yall notice too, Basketball Wives is a misstep but is really in line with FLFM on Freddie and Gat Damn on Bandana, the skit on the end of Robes. I think Shadow of a Doubt is also the reason we have Gang Signs. Shadow of a Doubt helped Gibbs perfect his hooks and bridges so we could have Cataracts on Bandana imo. And Black Thought's first verse on Extradite is too cold ("ever see a body dead in the streets then eat breakfast, swallow false beliefs like police justice?"). Bandana is technically the more consistent project, but Shadow of a Doubt has more bangers IMO. Add in Heaven Can Wait, Neighborhood Hoez with 2 Chainz, BANned? Man this shit an overlooked classic A lot of folks were talking about how Alfredo was the pinnacle of his story telling, but I really encourage yall to listen to My Homeboy's Girlfriend and name a better story telling track of his. ![]() ![]()
